Upcoming Executive Briefings
Private System Affiliation: A Pathway to Prosperity
June 23 at 12pm ET
Core Education PBC and our non-profit Core Foundation System have consistently promoted institutional independence as its central strategic theme for business model transformation. In an era of consolidation and structural deficits the choice for institutions has been to consider a merger or take a solo journey, risking isolation as the pathway forward.
Going it alone – is a risk virtually all institutions choose because the alternative of losing control is one the board finds difficult to accept.
Core Foundation System, a 501c3 public charity, was established as a Private University System to help affiliated institutions design, resource and implement pathways to prosperity, while remaining independent.
The Core Foundation System, private affiliation is available to a limited number of institutions who want to scale, impact, accelerate performance, and build long-term prosperity—without giving up their independence, brand, control or individual ethos.
During this executive briefing we will discuss the following:
How a Private System offers a new playbook for institutional success
How a Private System Affiliation works and the value proposition
Three strategic Private System initiatives that will drive financial prosperity
How the depth of resources of the Private System significantly impacts the ability to execute operationally
How to Access to capital via the Private System

Cost Optimization that Holds
June 25 at 12:30pm ET
Most institutions are in cost-cutting mode right now, and yet, very few are seeing durable impact. At a surface level, the pricing signal across this segment is converging. But the underlying economics are not converging. That gap is now showing up in margins, in discounting, and increasingly, in the student experience.
This session will focus on a more structural question: What actually moves cost in a way that holds?
We will examine:
- Fixed cost structures that don’t flex with demand
- Discounting masking true margin erosion – Incremental actions that create motion, not change
- The difference between cost reduction and cost architecture redesign
This is a discussion about how institutions are starting to create real cost improvement—while protecting the core product and positioning for the next phase.

Topic Revenue Engine Optimization: Rebuilding Institutional Growth Systems for a New Era
June 30 at 12pm ET
Higher education institutions are trying to drive growth on top of operating systems built for a different era.
Disconnected workflows. Delayed decisions. Fragmented technology. Manual coordination.
Most institutions believe they have an enrollment problem. In reality, they have a revenue engine problem.
Today, enrollment performance is shaped by the institution’s entire operating architecture — marketing, financial aid, technology, workflows, staffing, data, and decision-making.
Yet many institutions are still layering campaigns and software onto systems never designed for modern student behavior or institutional agility.
The result: more activity, more complexity, and less predictability.
This session explores how institutions can build coordinated, responsive revenue systems that improve conversion, yield, and long-term sustainability.

The Alliance for Board Excellence (ABX): Raising the Standard of Board Governance
In alignment with the Core Foundation System, a 501c3 Public Charity, the Alliance for Board eXcellence (ABX) announced its launch of a new, member-driven organization dedicated to strengthening college and university board governance at a moment of unprecedented change in higher education.
ABX is designed to support presidents and governing boards as partners in institutional transformation. In today’s environment, presidents are caught between the burden of the past and the opportunity of the future and ABX is focused on bridging that gap via strategic board governance. A new fiduciary standard of governing boards has emerged, one that requires boards to actively support the president and steward the institution’s strategic direction using a new governance playbook.
This executive briefing will address:
- Why now and the origins of ABX
- Why a new governance playbook is needed
- The importance of supporting the president during times of turbulence
- Transitioning from a legislative to a strategic governing body
- How to immediately benefit from ABX membership
- Council of Presidents and Council of Board Chairs
