Leadership

Prior to bringing his subject matter expertise to Core, Jorge Zurita-Valdebenito worked for Imerys SpA, a leading non-metallic mining company in Chile. He later joined Alliance Automation as an engineer, where he demonstrated his ability to innovate and design efficient control systems. Jorge later joined Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, where he played a pivotal role in maintaining the machinery responsible for producing COVID-19 rapid test kits. Simultaneously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Ivy Tech Community College, where he taught Advanced Automation and Robotics as well as Industrial Technology courses. Jorge joined Purdue University Polytechnic Institute in 2022 as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

Jorge holds an MS in Electronics and Computer Technology from Indiana State University and a BS degree in Systems and Control Engineering from the Technological University of Chile INACAP. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Systems Engineering.
